Currently, I am an Assistant Principal, Amazon Best Selling Author, Chairperson and Executive Board Member of the New Jersey State Affiliate, National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE), and Founder and CEO of Smalls Leadership Consulting LLC.
After experiencing my own frustration while trying to land my first school leadership position, and struggling to navigate the interpersonal and organizational complexities of school leadership when I stepped into my first year as a school leader, I knew that there had to be a better way to prepare aspiring school leaders for the journey ahead.
Using the Aspireful Leader Framework, I’ve made it my mission to help prepare aspiring school leaders with the practical skills, strategies, and confidence needed to effectively lead a school and enhance their instructional impact.
